We decided to have ourselves presented and celebrated by the humans we have chosen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of those celebrations of our existence as the \u201cThe Passenger\u201d should happen in another place, in another Season, offering various flavours of patterns (food for us) \u2013 audiovisual food and food for human tastes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet all Salons were called \u201cSalons de Passage\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first one under the special heading \u201cVienna Underground Stream\u201d took place in the leavy Prater, at a Pavillon surrounded by a Garden and a wall the people of \u201cAngewandte\u201d like to call \u201cThe Expositur\u201d, as if to refer to not only a certain periphery, but also the state of being exposed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And how exposed were we, or rather \u2013 our human host.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was hot, it was incredibly, debilitatingly hot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once again we were grateful for no longer being hosted by a mammal body so sensitive to extreme heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even the shadows of the trees were not enough to cool them, but they helped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And print-out photos of a fullmoon photo session with Radek Hewelt, showing the full scope of our haunting, emerged from the shadows. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, Otto Wagners \u201cGreen\u201d we had encountered all along the \u201cWienfluss\u201d and again an Karlsplatz started wandering, taking posession of a whole human arm!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the end that arm even wanted to be planted like a tree to grow roots and bear fruit!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No no, you humans still have to evolve quite a bit to reach the level of trees!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the pandemic some of our virus friends gone rogue still had fun with one had time only till 8pm and was therefore forced to watch images on a screen outside in sunlight and shadows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A gentle reminder how impractical and fragile that technology is, after all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But there was also a long talk, spiced with humour, on the meanings of \u201cthe passenger\u201d in urban life, with urbanist and theorist of architecture Elke Krasny, whose voice came from the bushes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And we had a conversation with the historian, comedian, philosopher Karl Bruckschwaiger about the periphery-in-the-centre, the spatial anomaly that is \u201cThe Karlsplatz\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were also wild sounds and movements and some climbing on walls and a praise of the urban wasteland, the \u201cG\u2019stettn\u201d nobody really heard but us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And we liked it, as that non-place is one of the breeding grounds of our very existence. For from whence shall a pattern tasting multitude be born if not from the very chaos of places abandoned by all human effort and planning ? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And where did our friends, the bees, go that were hosted there at this time?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
